this is very unclear in how its worded. but from what i got. your car chokes out at stop. and wont start sometimes when you try but if you wait after youve tried. it will start? and it idles up and down sometimes? okay

im going with this. idle could be do to iac, could be bad. not tight. car choking out could be maybe fuel pump giving out on you. or not enough power to it? thats why it doesnt start up sometimes...im not exactly sure. but from my expericence imma go with that. hope it helps. and hope some other more knowledgeable people could help more.

thanks for answering..

yeah it chokes when i press the gas. when i turn it off and turn it back on then i rev it under the hood next to the manifold it still sounds like its still choking and deep rev. when i let it rest it seems fine after i let it rest. then it does it again and chokes .while idling its fine, not sputtering or anything.

As mentioned, cleaning the IACV sounds like a good idea.

Also check the spark plugs, wires, cap, and rotor. Any CEL codes?

1) Check the wires, cap, and rotor. They may be old and worn, causing misfires.

2) Install a new CEL bulb in the cluster. The bulb either burned out or the previous owner removed the bulb. Once a working CEL bulb is installed, pull the CEL codes. See CEL sticky at the top.

Bad ignition components are the most common cause of engine misfire and bogging. Start by carefully inspecting/testing the ignition system components.

And get the CEL working ASAP.
