Car: 1994 Ls 5 Speed, 220k miles, headers, exhaust, intake....

Problem: For the past couple weeks my car has been acting up..At first my clutch pedal was feeling sticky and would grab quick and after awhile it went back to normal its hard to go into gears and sometimes they car wont go into gear, i have to shut it off and put it in gear then the clutch grabs. it sounds like there is metal on metal when in trying to go into 1st and a grind in 3 and 4... i would like to know if this is because of the clutch, and pressure plate or just the tranny....Help Me Please...

 

If you ever hear metal on metal stop driving the car. As for your problem your clutch is bad, Replace the Flywheel, Clutch, and Pressure plate.

 

Ditto the above^^^ although you may not need to replace the flywheel, unless you see signs of damage. 94

so its the cluctch?? what bout the grinds?

 

If clutch does not disengage properly the gears, [synchromesh] will grind.

It is also possible the synchromesh has been damaged from trying to shift with a defective clutch. 94
