Cleaning the engine bay in my 93 accord.
Hello fellas. Not really a new member here, just dont post much.
I bought a 93 accord with a 2.2 a few months ago with a broken timing belt.
So I got the motor all ripped apart to repair the problems. Im removing the A/C, power steering and the cruise control setup. What else can I remove or clean up while Im in there doing work?
This whole honda thing is new to me since I come from e30s and have had nothing but for the past 10 years. I bought the honda for winter duty since I invested a little to much into my e30 this summer to even think about driving it in the snow.
I didnt really have any luck searching to find photos. So if you guys would be kind enough or point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.
Thanks...

Why on earth would you remove the AC, PS and CC? That makes no sense whatsoever.
You can redo the wiring harness to remove unused connections, relocate the battery, relocate the fuse box, etc. Just search for wire tucking to get ideas.
If you're actually talking about CLEANING the engine bay - Simple Green outdoors in a 50/50 mix with water is a pretty good cleaning agent, you will probably need a brush to agitate some of the trouble spots.

I dont like A/C. I never have and never will. **** doesnt work half the time anyways.
None of my cars have ever had PS. Honestly I like the way the manual rack feels.
Who needs CC? Im not lazy, I can press on the gas pedal myself. Its just another thing to **** up anyways.
The engine bay itself is already clean. Just some purple power and a pressure washer did the trick for me. I have been doing some searching around, I think I got a pretty good idea on this now.

For a winter beater it just seems silly to remove those items.......a bit of the "trying too hard to fit in" deal.....especially if it is all functioning. But whatever floats your boat.
I like things to be simple and clean. Makes life easier in the end because its less to go wrong. I could care less what everyone thinks on here. Just asked for a little help. If your not going to help then dont post. I dont need you telling me what is dumb or silly. If you like to keep all of that stuff, then good for you.
I second Muffinman. Just sounds like he is young and bored. And the poster says he is worried about stuff going wrong. Honda are proven to be very very reliable. To make that statement suggests inexperience with cars. And I will bet you are under 18 years of age and still in diapers.

And I gave you help, it is just that you are doing this on a winter beater car.
Removing AC dorks up your defrost (it dehumidifies the air = better defrosting ability, good luck without it).
Removing PS doesn't make a lot of sense since you're going to be driving it presumably in snow/ice/**** conditions.
Removing ABS (assuming you have it, you don't list your trim level) doesn't make sense as it is useful in ice/snow conditions
Removing Cruise Control doesn't really net you anything, in my Accord it is the one little cable reel and then it connected the TB. Now you're left with non functioning cruise control buttons........for no good reason at all.
Just a lot of stuff that is overkill and silly for a car that is going to serve as the crap car for Winter...........now I won't go so far as to suggest you wear diapers, but I do feel the trying to hard attitude is applicable.
"If it ain't broke, don't **** with it"

I have plenty of experience with cars, This is just my first time owning a honda. So its all new to me, When somethings new. I ask questions.
Just a few of my e30.
