Default built LS VTEC issue

Helping a friend.....

Lsvtec build, same specs as in the FAQ forum, same EXACT build. NO GIRDLE and stock gsr cams.

question

is it normal to have slight vibration after 7K when engaged in vtec on this build, its not major, but it is enough to feel in the gas pedal and notice it is awkwardly different.

p28 ECU with a type R basemap at 240cc

no power steering

all ARP , machine shop made us change torque on rod bolts to 30pounds with the bolt grease advd of bolt stretch.

build has 2500 miles, very clean, very good break in.

NOTE!: using LS distributor

the bottom end has been balanced and rods have been shot peened (not glass peened) everything has been checked out by machine shop and all to OEM spec. nothing is oversized, and LS crank has also been polished, but not knife edged.

did this start happening recently? or has it been going on since the motor was built? it might not be in your motor.

more likely the car and not the motor, or could be the mounts

Are you sitting still and revving to 7k? or does this happen while moving?

I would guess mounts, although I have hasports and I don't notice a vibration out of the ordinary.

If battery is duying then ure alternator is going our or posibly whent out and is not charging youre battery. OR youre battery was on its way to retireing. ID chek out alternator and se if its profucing the correcct amount of volts.
