I got a slammed accord and keep having axle problems. Any suggestions would be great

my initial thought would be to raise it.. but what kind of axle problems you having?

 

I think I might have to raise it. My axles are no where close to level and even new axles click around turns.

 

the clicking usually means the bearings are bad.. did u check to see if the cv boots were ripped?? also, it doesnt necessarily have to be exactly level.. just get a set of replacement axles from the parts store with a warranty.. swap em out.. and if the new ones break and start clicking on turns again, then yes u do have to raise it up a bit.. good luck

 

the boots are fine one axle is brand new and the other one has like 100 miles on it. i think my only option is to raise it up. bummer

 

Is it a click or a knock sound? I had an issue with my replacement Autozone axles being too long and they binded so they made a knocking noise when I turned. Got some from Napa that were the right length and it cured the problem.

 

its a definite click. i think i might just have to get another axle and raise it a little.

 

make sure you strut are not close to your axle in the forks make sure there even with the bottom of your strut with your fork

 

gabebauman its best to stay with stock the axles from kregen,autozone an napa are all china made and will some time give up an snap and they also dont have no balancer either

 

My NAPA axles are lifetime warranty. I'd be amazed if my 126hp B20 was able to snap an axle. Besides...I'm not mad-tight slammed on blown shocks like you.

 

I would talk to Raxles, very knowledgeable and might be able to help. Choice could be Raxles or raise.

It's simple, raise your car to a functional height, and replace the axle/s. The clicking noise is your axle. Being "slammed" completely messes with all of your suspension components in different ways, none being positive. GL

 

No argument with raising. Just thought that the OP did not seem to want to go that route. I thought that they might be able to give him a height or parameter that their axles could function, "functional height." They use quality material, boots and new joints, and have been willing to discuss use in our cars. I found them helpful.

 

That's true. He might as well just swap out the axles, and raise it a bit. Also, sub par suspension (ie. ebay coilover sleeves, etc.) can cause your axles to go regardless of being slammed or not do to the ridiculous amount of bounce.

OP, what's your suspension setup and are your axles aftermarket? I may have missed it.
