98 Civic Coupe w/99 GSR swap

Hi , well i started the car this morning heading to work 30 min drive , parked the car. I tried to swap TEST a Skunk2 ECU , i pumped a the gas pedel a few times to see if it would start it didnt,after that car didnt want to turn on it cranked but nothing , so i switched back to the stock ecu P72 and the car doesnt even crank or nothing!!!

anyone know what this might be?. i mean the car fired up and started this morning with a ease now it wont even crank. If a engine is flooded with fuel would it even crank??

 

your prolly burnt up your ecu fuse. its in the under the hood fuse box. ...it happens.
replace it and then throw away the junk2 ecu

 

Start by checking spark and fuel. Any CEL codes?

okay so the car wont start again today! ,

drove to my job check engine light comes up! , and the car idles really funny up and down from 1 RPM TO 2 PRM. is this an ECU issue?. got to work park the car went out for lunch car wont crank or nothing.

i did replace the starter few days ago, but the weird thing this starts up in morning , like nothing is wrong with it !!

 

You probably have a loose connection at the battery or the single plug in the starter

 

all lights and power work in the car but it just wont crank or try to . could this a be a battery issue??.

 

Have you tried to pull the CEL code?

 

Check the clutch switch at the top of the clutch pedal. The rubber stopper may be broken or has fallen out.

Also, if you wire power directly from battery to the starter, the starter crank the engine?

 

no , check engine light only light up today ! but the car wont start for me in so i havent had a chance to pull up the codes,

 

starter wont crank i dont even hear a click to try to start.

 

You may be able to recover the CEL code by jumping the service connector, even though the engine won't start. But your main problem right now seems to be with the starter circuit, so focus there.

 

so i tapped the starter and the car fired up ! i guess i need to replace the starter?

 

That would also be my guess.
