Default H22A4 misfire? Kickin my ....

I have searched alot on this, and tried all the normal cap, rotor, plugs, wires.. checked the wiring, replaced the fuel filter....and still stuck with this funny misfire.. that is not popping a code..

At idle, you can hear it, normally its worse when the motor is cold, driving it around, it misses until it warms up, then seem fine, until it cools down.. over 3-4K rpms it doesnt seem to miss, or its just masked but I cant tell there at all..

I have compression tested the motor, it has 200 psi on all 4

plugs look alittle on the lean side, which pointed me towards the fuel system, then I checked it with the vac line off the fpr, and got 42psi at idle, and 32 with the fpr hooked up.. so that seems good.. within limits of the book I should say...

anytime I think misfire, I always look at the ignition system, found after replacing all the parts mentioned above, I have seen no improvement... back to square one..

when the car is warmed up, it feel fine, goes into vtech fine now, I have never owned any other H22 cars, so I couldnt tell you if its got all of its power, but sure feels strong..

Thanks in advance for the help!

Going to look into the egr system, I don't have the valve hooked up, so I might just remove it, and check the ports for build up.. Seems to be a common issue on this motor..

i had a misfire very similar to what your describing but ended up having a short in my wiring harness for my second cylinder fuel injector. you can check inject pulse with a small light bulb. like 924 or whatever it is. stick it in the injector socket and test it, very dim at idle but should pulse with giving it gas. it was an intermittent probvlem for me then periodically got to the pouint it would barely run, good luck

Thanks for all the input, I cleaned out the EGR system, and replaced the Dizzy, just to find it was the FIT, the small valve inside of that, was causing a vaccume leak, and made the car feel like it had a miss when it was cold..

thanks again, just wanted to be sure I posted the fix for my issue.. incase someone has the same problem..

I'm having a similar issue. I have a h22a4 in a eg civic. Ran great for months. Also its running off of a chipped p28. Having a misfire on 2 of the cylinders when the car warms up. When its cold it starts up great as soon as the temp start to rise 2 cyinders don't fire I can tell cause when I pull the plug it doesn't lose any pwer compared to the others ones. I changed the dizzy, ignition module, wires, cap, rotor. All of it good no change at all. Did a compression check that's good. I have run out of ideas. Once again its great on start up but once it warms up it misfire and 2 cylinders fail on me.

Tried the ICM with a new one didnt do a thing. After about 3000rpms it runs fine and everything is normal but as soon as i stop it dies out with no power with those 2 cylinders not firing. Anyone have a similar problem, and they fixed it somehow??????? Need help ASAP cold weather is coming ahaha..
