Default acceleration problems...boosted d16a6

ok, running 5psi on my d16, hondata s300 and innovate wideband. stock injectors, bs tuned (i know, thats not good but whatever), stock fuel pump. lately it will drive fine one minute then it will start, what i can describe as skipping horribly. if i go wot its like a damn machine gun. my plugs were fouled so i replaced them before i left work about 45 minutes ago and did the same thing. i havnt pulled the new ones to see what they look like yet though. i dont have my wideband hooked up right now, rewiring a bunch of stuff but still smells pretty rich. does this sound like my distributor might be going out, or injectors messing up?i dont really know. might try to test my tps tomorrow too if i can make it to work. lmk whatever you might think is wrong...and im putting some dsm 450 injs. and walbro pump on wednesday. and tuning.

havnt even looked at it, doesnt happen all the time. my friend was driving my car for like a week after i converted to obd1 and the dist. i put on was an old one off this civic. he would call me and say its skipping really bad on the highway but i havnt witnessed it until the past couple days. today at about 12 it drove fine, wot it was normal. but i drove around some at work, then drove home and it started doing it bad. i might buy a new cap and rotor and **** tomorrow and throw it on. any idea if an LS obd1 dist. will fit my d16a6?

well i guess ill get a cap and rotor tomorrow. guess i can spend 20 bucks on that. might as well put some new wires too. i didnt even think about it but one of the insulators on the end of #4 wire came off tonight when i put those plugs in, it went back on and stayed, could be arcing...should probably put the fuel filter i bought a month ago on there too.

it amazes me how when routine maintenance is disregarded and you have non factory stuff done to a car how people get "stumped" when said car f's up. fix the routine maintenance stuff get everything else done right like you tune and see all those problems just magically disappear.

well too bad it didnt "magically disappear" there was nothing wrong with my cap and rotor. i replaced it anyway along with new wires, and the plugs are new. putting a dif. distributor on tomorrow to see if thats it, getting a really weak spark. and if you cant help with my problem why are you even posting?

why even bother trying to diagnose it as is?

it needs bigger injectors, and it needs a tune. do that and then come back if you're still having problems.

because it was running fine before...i can barely even drive it, hardly will take off in the beginning of first gear, how are bigger injectors and a tune going to fix that? lets just take the turbo out of the equation...how about i put the other distributor on tomorrow and see if that fixes it, if it doesnt ill post again...

You start your own thread and stop trying to hijack.
Then you go get your ECU tuned properly to support the injectors.
You just don't swap out injectors and expect the ECU to auto-detect them like they were USB or something.
Must get tune!

OP - since you replaced everything ignition related, weak spark might also be ground related. I don't think it's your distributor (could be wrong as it might be the coil, but doubtful since they usually fail by simply not working anymore).
