I have a 91 wagon rt4wd. When I go a steady speed it's fine no problem. It's when I hit the gas to pass up a car or when slowing down a little and then try to get back up to speed. It's just like it doesn't want to pick up speed so it bogs and slowly gets back up to speed and stops bogging.

 

change out the fuel filter

 

Check the Cap & Rotor too.

 

Wow would have never thought of that. So I'm not getting constant fuel or what?
