none of the above, most of us who have been around awhile are just sold on koni sports and ground controls. custom rates, great customer support and 799. big step above what you listed and for not a lot more cash.

if you want to cheap out, get the progress CS-II or some used Koni-GC

Or used tokicos and some good springs.

If you want cheap, get used name brand stuff.

pro s aren't worth the money. the decent set from skunk are the pro c

don't buy used konis unless they are cheap. you won't get the warranty and that by itself is worth cash.

If you want cheap coilovers get the progress CS-II. They're $579 shipped.

If you don't mind a mild drop, you could get some KYB shocks and some soft/mild drop springs.

Are you gonna be dd the car mostly or is a track ****? If you dd it then get the 8k front and 10k rear. Thats if you want those coilovers, but if you really want s2 then you should get the Pro-c, they are a much better product.

Used Koni/gc setup. Or the progress setup like I mentioned.

Or make the right choice and save up.

Do it right the first time.

^x2, you don;t want to shell out cash now and then 6 months down the road shell out even more because you're not satisfied.

Do as much research as you can. I spent month researching the KW setup i have with very little info on these boards. Sometimes you have to go to other car forums to find what you're looking for.

Yes, they're a very reputable American company. I believe Bisimoto is currently stomping some auto-x circuits with their upper level products.

The really cool thing about progress is:

1) Killer customer service
2) Replacement shocks are like $68
3) For less than $100 you can get different spring rate springs, so YES they are very good for auto-x and road racing because you can have multiple sets of springs.
-Some for Daily Driving
-A set for X auto-x track
-A set for Y auto-x track.

If you plan on daily driving it's strongly recommended you probably not go higher than 350/350

You can always get some 500's for the rear for track day.

I have the skunk2 Pro-C's. Honestly Ive had lots of suspension setups over the yrs and this by far is the best. I love the dampening. I run 14k on the rear and 10k up front. I get no squat at the track and on the street on the soft setting it rides smooth. I really did expect for it to be all over the place but it wasnt. I would tell you to make the right choice. Think about what your using it for and you cant go wrong.

The Skunk2 Pro-S are practically the same, you just cant adjust the dampening

sorry if i'm thread jacking..
what do you guys think about the buddy club N+ spec? I've installed a few sets of these but haven't driven on them. Looking at them they are very high quality.
Right now i'm on some ebay junk that came with the car (95 ex). I've just recently started driving it after a GSR swap and this thing is kind of scary to drive.. it darts and tracks road imperfections pretty bad and has a ton of feedback. It's tucking 17's at the moment. I like the stance of the car but wouldn't cry if I had to raise it a little bit. It will be mostly daily driven but will see drag and road course periodically. THMotorsports has the N+ for just under $700 shipped. Thanks for the help!

All coilovers look good in pictures, they even look good in your hands, but how they look vs how they perform are two way different things.
