So i have a Performer-X intake manifold for my B18C build i'm doing what i'm wondering is that i want to get it ported and well can't do it myself since i don't have the tools or the know how should i

A-get the manifold ported by someone like King Motorsports or Performance Porting ext.....

or

B- send it out to Extrude Hone - Deburring and Surface Finishing and have them hone it for me?

what are the advantages and disadvantages of each?

ummm no, port matching is easy

i'm talking cutting open the intake manifold and making it flow better

When I cut open manifolds I usually just polish and port-match. I guess it would be comparable to "B". It gained about 4-6whp on a 1.8 a buddy of mine has. Why don't you cut some of it off and clean it up yourself?
I can weld it up for you if you want.

i would just have it cut open, it seems with extrude honing it sometimes doesnt get all the casting lines out and its a clay that isnt gonna be the same in every port because it can shift and change. my votes for cutting it open and porting it out then welding it back up

I have a Performer X, and I did a little runner clean up before I put it on. I used just regular sanding wheels on my Dremel to get the casting lines out. Then rough sand paper then finer sandpaper to finish it off the runners. I then port matched it to the head then did a thorough cleaning with compressed air first, and then hot water and Tide.

If you're thinking of spending a bunch and the trouble to have it cut open you may want to find a shop that does a bit more the polishing the runners. CNC the runners with an improved taper will speed a up the air velocity through them and at the same time create a larger plenum condition. I haven’t seen this on a Performer yet but I have on a Victor. Should look in to it. I think Endyne does this but it is by hand.

What are the rest of the specs on you engine?
