6th Gen with F20B swap idles at 3000rpm
He's talking about the Governor and that why would it only revv up to 4K rpm and not 8K like everybody have been saying.
OP first off, the ECU is in limp mode. Do you have any CEL?

What does the limp mode mean? My knock sensor is broken and i was told all that can happen is the ECU goes in a limp mode? what happens when it does?
Also, can this limp mode prevent the car from starting?
Thanks

LIMP Mode means Safe Mode. With limp mode on, you can only go up to 4K or so and not any higher. With a knock sensor broken, I believe it will throw you in limp mode as well.
It will not cause the car not to start; it's something else.

Governor is what i ment. If it is in limp mod how would i get it fixed? Or better yet how would you put it there? Is there a way to do that on perpouse to **** someone off? I bought an ecu for the f20b. engine and euc together. That ecu does not even let the car start. Dont know why. The ecu witch i think is a reflashed p28 works but I have my famouse proplem. idles 3k and governs at 4k. So it's known I have a ton of questions and as I fix them ill post what it was that fixed it and so forth. Thanks for the advice. o another question whats CEL?
