Default Gas struts vs prop rod for hood?

I have a 2007 Accord SE with a 4cyl which obviously has a prop rod.

I was wondering if it would be possible to install the gas struts from a V6 model since it appears they use the same hood?

sure it has been done. you'll need the strut and you will need to fabricate a bracket or cut one off of a wrecked chassis

Judging by some parts lists I've found on College Hills Honda's site, I think I might just need some ball studs.

Would someone mind taking some pictures of the gas struts on the hood of the V6, more specifically where they mount to the hood and inner fenders?

that ball mount is on the top end... on the bottom there is a tack welded "L" bracket... most of the prop ups don't have this and you need to fabricate one or buy a salvaged unit.

I see what you're talking about now. I looked at my car then compared it to a picture I found on ebay.

This is a V6 model where you can see the l bracket you were talking about.

Now I just have to figure out if I can get that to work on mine.
