Lowered my accord now I have a vibration
Ok I have a 2010 accord v6 sedan and I lowered it with the eibach pro kit so it's like a 1 inch drop. I put brand new wheels and Michelin tires on it as well, and now I have a vibration at highway speeds that I can't get rid of. We spun the rims first to make sure they were not bent and they all came out ok. Mounted, then balanced the tires twice, and did an alignment. The front is in spec but the back's camber is out so I ordered a full camber kit. Will the camber issue cause my vibration because it is BAD?
the wheels are stock size and the tires are still the oem michelin tires with 7000 miles on it with no wear pattern at all
when you had the alignment done, did they give you toe readings?
generally, at 1" the eibach kit is nothing to be worried about on it's own. it will however be giving you a more FIRM ride. is there a chance that you are merely feeling the road more than you did when you had the OEM springs on the car?

yeah my front toe was out at first but now it's within spec. front toe can be -.15 to .15 and I'm at 0. my rear camber is out which is why i bought the camber kit. If im feeling the road more then I was curious if anyone else has had nor noticed this problem. I would not have assumed a 1 inch drop would do that. I've had several slammed cars and have never had a vibration this bad. You vibrate in the seat so bad at like 65 mph but at 60 it's smooth
Do these new rims have concentric rings installed or just mount and centered by wheel studs/nuts ?
Also when mounting new tires on rims there are dot markings for heavy side on each, make sure they cancel out so its balanced best before weights are added .(any good tire shop knows this but Needs to be mentioned )

All I've done is put the wheels on. They are tsw wheels. With stock lug nuts, toms sensor and all. No rings. Don't think there we any on my stock wheels what rings are you referring to. What do I need to do
that's because the OEM Rims are hubsentric from the factory. Your new TSW rims are more than likely, NOT.
Ask about hubsentric rings where you bought your rims. also if you are still using OEM lug nts, the TSW's might require a different type lug nut(there are several profiles... do some searching.

Also, how are the nuts? Are they open or closed by a cover?
On my old civic, I first had a set of wheels that had lug nut covers. It was a bitch to balance them. Yes, they start to vibe at 60mph-70mph, and disappears if I go faster like 80mph.
What I was told is that the shop need to balance them with the cover on. Most don't do that.
End up selling them, and got open nuts wheels.

ok I called a tsw dealer and rings for the hubs are required for the wheels i got so I ordered rings and I bought some new lug nuts, so I am going to try this and hopefully it will smooth out, wish me luck
got the camber kit and the rings. the camber kit is on and now the alignment is dead on. I will put the rings on tomorrow and see it that fixes the issue. It should :-)
Definitely Hub Rings Volkswagen Portland Dealers

the rings did help eliminate alot of the vibration but you still feel a vibration in the steering wheel but alot of that is the road I think. It sits pretty good at just about the tire

I made an account just to reply to this lol
But, my car did the same thing when i lowered it.
I brought it to honda and they took it for a drive and told me it was my inner cv joint.
they said it broke inside the boot and wasn't rotating correctly because it was used to rotating at a different angle, and when the car was lowered it brought the control arm down at a different angle too, which caused the joint to break and a vibration in any speed pased 40 mph.
Just my input from personal experience and i drive an accord sedan as well.
Good Luck !!!

it's not the aftermarket wheels, its something in the v6 accord. we have more people complaining about it. this happens between 50 to 60 mph and it doesnt matter if it is stock wheels or not
this occured even on stock wheels and stock height and as a service advisor here at honda we are seeing more people complaining about it. We have even replaced brand new tires on some of these cars but it still does not stop. We have road forced balanced tires etc.... you name it we have tried it
