Alright so I bought a "rebuilt" gsr trans with a Type R LSD in it about 16 months ago. I was told (by a member on this forum) that the trans was rebuilt by an Acura technician and all new syncros and bearings were installed. I put it in my car and the trans made all sorts of noise. I split the case only to find that the transmission was rebuilt all wrong. The diff wasn't shimmed properly along with the mainshaft. The syncros look brand new and gears look ok but all of the bearings would need to be replaced. Everything is taken out of the trans and would need to be cleaned, inspected, and any parts out of spec replaced. The Type R diff however is good to go, just needs new bearings. I'm asking $275 for the Type R diff and $350 for everything. My phone number is 414-750-4554. My loss is your gain...I got totally screwed on this trans but whoever wants to rebuild a trans and or needs a diff, it's a nice find. Please take this off my hands!!
