Just do a valve adjusment if you're paranoid. Just looking at it wont determine anything.

idk what that means lol but some of the things that were attached ontop of the springs wiggled and some were tight?

that's normal. your oil color looks pretty good. check the valve lash, all it takes is a set of feeler gauges.

check your valve cover gasket for signs of failure, clean the mounting surface on the head before you apply new hondabond and reinstall.

Again, with no disrespect, considering your lack of knowledge you shouldnt have even cracked your valve cover open. You could easily mess something up.
Id suggest finding a friend with some GOOD knowledge to help over see and teach you things. Taking apart things and taking pics and posting it up on hondatech asking if everything is ok is not gonna teach you.

hopefully you didn't get any dirt or anything in your engine, the smallest spic of dirt can flow right into your block and tear up surfaces and bearings. And when re sealing your vc make sure your vc gasket and the surface where it meets the head is spotless or you could end up with a leak.

And again, no disrespect, just don't wanna see you mess up a engine you just got.

Ya, I second the notion of finding someone who'll "mentor" you so to speak. Trying to do a valve lash adjustment on your own with no experience or an inclined sense of mechanics.

Typically, you can't tell if theres something wrong with the engine by taking off the valve cover. Unless you have a rocker arm off or something like that.

What did you do with your old engine??

Buy a haynes manual and start using it as a guinea pig for practice. If anything, honda engines are the best to learn on. Theyre structurally simplistic and you can learn the basics easily.
