I just bought a 98 Integra GSR w/ a 6 puck clutch.
I use this as a daily driver. When I start on first, the car shakes alot.
As the rpms get higher(2,000 and up) the skaking lessens but it is still noticable
I went to a friend and asked him about this problem. He said that having a puck clutch causes the engine to shake and that I need to replace the engine mounts to high performance mounts. I was wondering for all you honda-tech guys if this is valid.

*I was thinking about just getting an OEM clutch and replacing the engine mounts to brand new ones. will this help?

 

Yeah, sounds like its the clutch... My brother had that with his stage 4 clutch disk. get a ACT or CL or oem, at least IMO...

could be chatter. unless you have a boosted car making some serious power there is no need for a clutch like that. NA builds 99% of the time never need more than an exedy stage 1

 

What about the shaking during idle and while balancing on first, is that Engine Mount problems?
