2001 Accord leaky rims
help -- my 2001 accord alloy rims (15" 4 lug) leak air.
will get down to about 25 lbs in a week (from 35..ish)
I have had the rim ground down and remounted tires several times, nothing seems to fix it.
Guess I'll have to find some cheap steelies or perhaps someone has a set of OEM alloy rims they want to sell!
any help on this topic is appreciated.

hey guys, thank you very much for your responses. I just had them all demounted, rims sanded, and re-mounted with generous bead-sealer, but they are still leaking at about 5PSI/week.
One of you mentioned tires -- I have not considered that to this point, I am running a set of relatively new COOPER P195 65R15. I have been told by several discount tire stores that my rims are the problem. But I may take your advice as an experiment and mount an older BFGoodrich tire I have in my garage as a spare. Guess if that holds air, then it's not the rims!
this car as 150K miles on it and the rims have a lot of curb-rash and the car has never seen a garage, and we have some pretty salty roads in the wintertime. (oh, and great work on the crappy clearcoat, honda...)
Anyways, the alternative I'm considering (this is a daily driver) is to get a set of stock steel rims and hubcaps. not very trendy, but I guess if they hold air that's the key.
If anyone has a set of either OEM alloy or steel rims, I'd certainly be interested. Need to put this issue to bed before winter comes.

I can tell you from personal experience the easiest way to tell where its leaking from, fill it with air at your house, take the wheel/tire off the car, fill a spray bottle with soapy water, coat the tire really good, where you see bubbles is where the leak is, it will save you from taking it to the shop several times, and when you see where it is, use a sharpie and mark where it is, then have a shop remove the tire and look where the mark is to see what the problem is, It sounds lengthy, but it will save you money
