Default CEL might not be working?

I put a JDM D15B into my OBD2B hatch, now the engine won't start and there is no CEL's... So I thought I'd test to see if the CEL actually works...

So I turn the key, and the only lights that come on are: Oil Pressure, E-Brake, SRS. (I have aftermarket wheel, e-brake is up, and the stock oil pressure sensor is not hooked up)

Other than those three, no lights light up at all, not even for a second. So I thought I'd try the CEL on the cluster in my other hatch, a bunch of lights light up for half a second, but not the CEL...

Maybe it's an ECU or wiring problem? Hopefully someone can chime in with some answers.

did you change any wiring? Because the OBD2B cars are wired very differently. Does the car even crank? Have you tried jumping the service connector?

The car cranks, but won't fire. I jumped the service connector and still nothing.

I'm using my obd2b harness, with a jumper harness to a p06 ecu. I rewired my dizzy to mate to my obd2 harness using a diagram from
Ff-squad. I'm using my obd2 alternator. I did the 3 wire/2 wire iacv fix.

so what ur saying is that u took the cluster and put it in another hatch and the cel still didnt come? not trying to make u sound dumb but if the problem follows a part it prolly the part. swap bulbs on the cluster to 1 u know works like the turn signal then try again. as for it not starting do u have spark and fuel?

No.
The car this topic is about is a 2000 Hatch with an SiR cluster.
When i said i tried to check for the CEL in my other hatch, i just meant turning the key to see if the light came on... different car, different cluster. My other hatch is a 98 with a USDM SI cluster.

Well if you jump the connector and nothing comes on then the wiring is fkd up somewhere.

Well, the light doesn't work for sure.

I bought hondata s300, which showed me that I have no codes, but I turned the knock sensor on and then hondata said I had a code, but nothing in the cluster... Looks like I'm getting a new bulb! Anyone know which bulb this is?
