P73 ITR 98+ spec, KNOCK SENSOR
Ive searched and searched and found some threads but they didnt have enough info. I just put a full ITR swap in my 92 hatch, I am still using the JDM harness that came with it, i bought the OBD1 to obd2 conversion harness so im using the Obd2 JDM P73 that came with the swap. My problem is everytime i drive the car and rev up past 2500 rpm my check engine comes on and its cel23 knock sensor. I replaced the sensor with another one i had from another b series block i had in my back yard that worked fine before but I still get cel23 after i hit 25000 rpm. I kno when the check enegine is on your ecu goes into safe mode so i guess thats why my v-tec kicks in between 4500-4800 and stops cut off is at 7800. any suggestions. I had a JDM b16a in my car before and never had that problem.
Also I'm able to go above 2500 rpm with out throwing cel23 at start up. but once the thermostat warms up half way to the normal temperature then thats when the cel pops on above 2500 rpm. any suggestions on how to solve this. O and when i say im still using the jdm harness i cut it open and re routed all the wires and did my own wire tuck. since the harness still plugged into my obd1 shock tower.
nevermind i sat here and looked at the wall mad, long enough to realize that my car is a 92 and came stock with a single cam so yea i went and checked my pin outs and realized that that wire for the knock sensor was never ran from the tower to the ecu, and I remembered my last B16 setup i used a chipped p28. BOY GENIUS!!! lol.
