If the block is stamped F22B2 that is a SOHC Non VTEC block. If you have a DOHC cylinder head that head has been swapped onto the block. If it said F22B on the block it could be a Non VTEC DOHC F series engine from Japan.

Are there any other markings on the cylinder head?

When you say your car is DOHC non VTEC I'm guessing that you are referring to the cylinder head. There were no DOHC Non VTEC Accords sold in the USDM.

Yup, pics is a must; since, its sorta confusing. As mentioned before, the F22B2 comes in SOHC Non VTEC only here in the US. Otherwise, previous owner might've frankensteined it by using an H23A DOHC head.

i bet money that the cyl head is off an H23A1, which IS indeed a bolt on affair. comes from a 92-96 Prelude Si incase the OP was curious.

It's definitely a hybrid. Non VTEC DOHC head w/F22B2 block. I would guess an H23 head.

yep thats def the H23A1 head. sorry to say but your not making much more than what you started as. maybe 5-10hp gain at the most. the H23A1 only had about 20 more hp than the F22B2. and most of it was not coming from the top end lol.

First try to convert it to OBD1 for more tuning options then go get it dyno & tuned for maximum potential. One way to find out right?
