In another thread we were discussing shortening a dc2R knuckle to get more upper a-arm clearance when lowering or using those knuckles on an EF.

It was mentioned that an odyssey hub and bearing would be ideal off the shelf if making custom knuckles from scratch because those are the biggest Honda makes.

I've never really looked at Honda odyssey knuckles, so can someone tell me if they have the correct geometry?

I was going to have my dc2R knuckles cut and shortened, then rewelded back together and reinforced - for autox duty on my SM EF civic si.

But if the odyssey stuff is beefier, then I can readily source them and do bigger axle outers to mate.

I'm running abs sensors also, so that's a consideration as well...

Anybody know odyssey stuff well?

Why are you exactly trying to run the DC2R knuckles or the Oddessy ones for that matter?

If i had a 1000 to spend, Id be thinking about this. I guess youll now be able to be lowerd with stock ride quality??

 

it seems like shortening the knuckle is going to lead to a lot of bump steer.

 

Well lowering a Honda creates a lot of inherent issues...

 

those drop knuckles have been around a long time. I have never actually seen anyone post up that they bought them.
