Default prestige aps997n Install help!

Im installing this alarm into a Del Sol im running into a problem with the main 6pin harness..

I have the wire diagram for the car

Constant 12V+ White Ignition Switch Harness
Starter Black/White Ignition Switch Harness
Ignition Black/Yellow Ignition Switch Harness
Ignition 2 White/Black Ignition Switch Harness
Accessory Yellow Ignition Switch Harness
Tach Blue Distributor
Brake Switch Green/White Brake Switch
Trunk Pin Green/Black (-) Above Fuse Panel Blue Connector
Parking Lights Red/Black Fuse Panel Green Connector
Head Lamp Red/White Light Switch
Hood Pin n/a
Door Trigger Green/Red (-) Driver's Running Board One of Two Wires
Door Lock Green/White (-) Driver's Side behind CRUISE Module
Door Unlock Green/Red (-)
Horn Wire Blue/Green (-) Or Gray (-) at Steering Column
Windows Up LF=Blue/Red, RF=Blue/Yellow
Windows Down LF=Blue/White, RF=Blue/Green

Alarm 6pin plug.. Purple-Acc, Blue-IGN1, Red-Bat2, Red/white-Bat1, Yellow-Start, Green-Ign2

My question is since the car is 5spd and i wont need Remote start which pins from the 6pin plug do i need? also id like to add a starter kill..

This is my daily and i started pulling the old alarm that i lost the remote

This is what i come up with please feel free to point out mistakes.

Put the 2 red bat wires together to the white constant 12v at car.

start yellow to starter blk/white at car

Ign1 blue to Ign-Blk/yel at car

Ign2 green to Ign2-White/blk at car

Starter kill.. post (86) tap to the two red wires at constant 12v, Post (85) to alarm - out when disarmed, Post (87a) to starter (Ignition Switch Side), Post(30) to starter (Starter Side)?

i have the same alarm and i didnt use the remote start harness at all because its not needed or the the starter kill
i have other means of disabling the car

you should also wire your horn and siren up
it will sound weird when you lock the car but its so much louder than just the siren

that alarm is a bitttch because theres so many options

from what i gather both the 6pin and 4pin-3wire harness for the alarm has to do with the R/S.. I have a air horn thats goin to be conected.. the main problem im coming up with is the wiring at the ignition. What exactly did you use since u didnt go the r/s route?

I can't find a wiring guide for that alarm, but w/o using r/s the above post is correct. You don't need the 6 pin harness. Your pins on your relay are correct also, but I would put a diode btwn pins pins 85 and 86 with the end that has the stripe on #86.

There should be a harness with a lot more wires than all the others, (prob the same one that has the ground when armed wire in it. You need to attach the 12v+ constant wire from there to your white wire in the car. From there, your del sol will only need the (-) door trigger wire, (-) instant trigger wire (for trunk pin), (-) door locks, and (+) parking lights. Horn honk is optional, and if you want ignition controled locks, you may need to hook up the red wires from the 6 pin heavy gauge harness along with the 1st igntion wire, if there is no ignition wire in the smaller gauged harness.

heres a manual, The 6pin on this alarm is main power/ remote Start, there is a 4pin for some r/s features also a 13pin for all other options

I have everything wired up, yet im coming up with a problem on the parking lights, they worked the first try with the alarm. now they only work if i turn them on with the headlight switch.. Also with the starter kill.. i wired the 86 to the Ign1, Post 85 to the orange wire on the 13pin connector which is (output control to starter inhibit relay) there is a diode from 86 to 85..

Sounds like polarity is reversed on your parking light output from the alarm. Is there a jumper, fuse, or programming sequence to change the flash output? It's prob on (-) output right now, which prob should be switched to (+) output.

Relay sounds correct, just make sure the cathode end (the end the stripe) goes to #86.
#87a goes towards the key after you cut the wire in half.
#30 goes towards the starter.

Oh yeah, and make sure the fuse is still good on your parking light wire coming out of the alarm.
