Euro Accord-R H22A vs. JDM Prelude Type-S H22A
What is the difference between these two engines besides the torque rating? I have researched but its either too complicated or not in depth enough. Anyone I ask will usually say "trani, camshafts, etc..." - - I want to know the difference b/c I am trying to pick which one to squeeze in my 1990 Prelude Si

Do a search here or google.
The euro r has 20 HP more. Do you think that justifies the h22a being $2000 more than the regular one? I don't.

From the specs I have seen on both engines, the hp rating is the same 220@7200 but the torque rating is different, the Euro has 10 more ft.lbs. at 200rpm higher than the Type-S. Also, the Type-S has an optional LSD where as the Euro comes w/ an LSD, both have 11:1 comp ratio. I am getting this info from http://www.jdmhondaparts.com and the price is $4500 for both engines. Everywhere else I look I find the same information. I think the engine you are talking about would be the H22A from the 92-96 prelude. So, these are the differences I know and I need to know if there is anything I am missing... there is not alot of info on this swap, but trust me, I am searching for it all the time.
