Tein lowering springs/Ksport pro full coilovers: Struts blown again need ideas why
1996 civic ex
The problem is with the suspension, I have Tein lowering springs and also Ksport pro full coilovers.
The problem is that i keep blowing struts, it seems to only blow the front passenger side I have replace 2 oem ones and now 2 days in my Ksport coilovers are blown.
Before anyone says they were too low or adjusted wrong, The were 100% adjusted correct and i was not "slammed" The shock was not bottoming out, or anything, the car does need an ailment, pulls to the left not much tho. No extra wear on the tires or anything like that.
The only other problem is that it looking like the wheel sits back about a 1/2 to the rear of the car it does not sit in the center like the driver side wheel.
Any ideas on anything would help.

Spend the money on something that's not a ksport coilover.
Get some Illuminas, or progress coilovers, or konis
Lots of good brands with better history than ksport.

Thats besides the point, even if i had GC on Koni yellow or whatever im still blown struts for some reason. I need ideas why.
your wheel sits back because a component of your suspension is bent and/or broken. this happens from, among other things, slamming into a curb.
now as far as the shock blowing problem, the only thing that comes to mind is perhaps the wheel sitting too far back is causing excessive wear on the shock body innards thus causing them to blow out?
either way o/p you NEED to get your front end looked at by a qualified profesional

This is a very serious suspension geometry issue. Before you replace your shock get that problem fixed first. That is a REALLY bad problem and you really shouldn't drive your car with a critical suspension component damaged.

I didn't see the part where your wheel sits back in the wheel well.

Ok so here is what happened took it to a shop for them to tell me what's going on, they said my lower control arm was bent about an inch and thats why my wheel sits back, and also could cause the struts to rub and break the seals since its not sitting strait, i order the part last week it got here yesterday and it was the wrong one so i went to VanSenus, a local auto part store, and they ordered one for me for some reason it said the part was from a 95 and mine is a 96. So i went to bolt it up and they rear bushing, the last bolt i had to put in, was too small so now i wait for a new bushing to be pressed in on Monday.
So now i need a new suspension set up any ideas??? Let me hear what you guys have how is the ride????? Not looking to go crazy but still have a nice set up. Let me get some spring rates also on what your running.

yes, get a reputable brand. Progress, Koni, Tokico, Eibach, Tein, etc.
Cheapest bang for the buck is probably progress. $579 shipped brand new and you pick your own spring rates. Replacement shocks are like $68 and you can even get a 2nd set of springs for different applications for like $90.
Plus their customer service is amazing. 1 year warranty. Very good deal.
