Default Difference in MT and AT engine harnesses...

I found an affordable AT harness, but need to know if it will work on my MT before I buy it. I assume there isn't anything missing from it, just one or two connectors added, so all I have to do is cut them off and I'm good to go right?

It will work you will just have some extra plugs that are not used

IIRC, the AT one will have 2 extra pluggs for the automatic transmisson and is missing the plug for the MT reverse light.

I know when I tried using a 99 auto harness in my standard 99 prelude, one of the main connectors was different so it was not usable.

Are you using this in your Del Sol swap or in an actual Prelude?

bingo. you'll need to use a del sol harness and modify it to fit the h series you're stuffing in there. you definitely should have done this before putting the engine in btw.

Whether its AT or MT shouldn't matter much, you'll just have to run wires for the reverse switch from the vehicle side of the engine harness connectors to the switch itself, assuming the car was MT to begin with. Easy job.
