how to chip ecu for my ls
unless you have soldered on other fine circuitry, having a friend or pro/experienced person do it would be best. You need a steady hand and have to be careful not to overheat the board and make the tracings lift...which can be fixed, but it's better to just not have it in the first place.
For instructions, just search chip p28 or obd1 honda ecu or something. I'm sure there's a write up somewhere. I've done it, but I'm in bed about to take a nap. pm me and i can tell you what you need and where it goes if you need it. And I may have the parts to chip it, hopefully I haven't run out. I've done a few ECUs for myself and all my friends' ECUs.

Im not sure my ecu will work for my ls. I thinks its a p2p? Not sure i haven't looked at it yet. I've got a 98 ex coupe, (if you happen to know which ecu it is).
If I'm understanding correctly, you are running the stock ECU in your 98 coupe correct? If so, your ecu will not work. You have an OBD2 car and ecu and will need to convert to OBD1 with a jumper harness and OBD1 ecu if you want to chip.
Yeah its a stock virgin ecu. I knew i had to get the jumper harness but wasn't sure if i could use mine for my ls that im puting in it or if i had to go and get a different one all together

I had actually posted chipping as a service on my for sale thread, but took it off after a while.
