bought an 89 civic seemed to run fine good acceleration handle ect.
after getting new catlyticconverter and cv joints car started having starting troubles. replaced the starter, battery because they were old and seemed to be having trouble. also fixed gaskets on head cover bcuz one leaked oil into the sparkplug chamber.

now car is still having trouble starting, almost always after driving for 15+ minutes but never when the engine is fully cooled. when it does act up it usually takes an hour for it to want to start again.

also noticed the oil was about halfaquart / aquart overfilled when purchased but didnt think much of it since it looked like it had just been changed. looked at it again today oil was perfectly full so me and my dad checked spark plugs and they looked a lil wet so we dried em off, emptied and refilled the oil to just about half way between the full and refill mark on the dipstick. car started after a lil and we test drove it, got home, waited 20mins, and tried to start it but nothing. checked the spark plugs again and they were wet.

i live in the desert so the engine does take a beating in the sun, also my coolant systems been having trouble, idk what the problem is at this point, any ideas?

also white smoke right after starting the car but none after that, so idk whats happening with the oil...

i need this car for work and school so any pointer would be greatly appreciated. thank you
