Swapped in a low mileage d16y8 into a clean 98 EX shell...Using a y7 harness...
im running a p06 via the jumper, does anyone know if this makes a difference??? i dont care about not having vtec i just want the car to run.

the car will die as soon as you give it gas, its throwing a code 14 and a code 10?

what do i need to do to get this car running

 

Does the ECU match the engine? How many CEL codes and what are they?

throwing the iacv code, wtf gotta check my connections

 

un hook it from the manifold and clean it, see it that will take care of the problem. Also check the wiring that you added.

 

the motor was running perfect in my friends car last week so i doubt cleaning it will change any thing...code 14...code 10...

 

Check whether any of the sensor connectors are swapped.
