Default Pilot bearing

I was wondering if anyone could help me out with this. About 2 years ago when I was last driving my car a put in a new stage 1 zoom clutch into my car. The only thing we didn't do was put in the new pilot bearing. Yeah stupid i know however first time putting new clutch into my car or any car like it for my friends. They all drive trucks with automatics so very little knowledge at the time on my car. The problem is now that i can tell that the old pilot bearing is going out. The clutch has under 1000 miles on it I know like i said i put it in hardly drove it for to long after it was installed. (went to Iraq). So here in lies the problem I dont want to buy a new clutch kit until my old/new clutch is worn out. However after trying to get a hold of zoom with no response I have only seen what I believe are stock pilot bearing and the one that centerforce makes which I tried talking to them also with no success. Can anyone help me out here and know of where to get aftermarket that will work.

Are your sure the pilot bearing is bad rather than the transmission mainshaft/input shaft bearing?

That and pretty much any pilot bearing for whatever transmission is the car will work.

You can measure the inside diameter of the pilot bearing and the the outside diameter of the input shaft. Subtract the numbers and that will be your oil clearence. Oil clearance should be no more that .002". I always replace throw out and pilot bearings when I swap a clutch, and along with resurfacing the flywheel.

Well thanks for the help I suppose I will just go with hopefully the centerforce I will have to look it back up. I am 99.9% positive it is not my transmission going bad. I'm still wondering if I should replace the throw out bearing as well. Car will be going into shop soon and am having transmission and motor worked on so I will know soon enough I was just lookin gat trying to go ahead and order parts that I need. I already have room full.
