I'm using an ls crank in my gsr block... trying to order bearings for it. Are all ls cranks the same? Wich engine code is that? And or is there a code on the crank to tell me which crank it is??

 

omg.... ls = b18a1 or b18b1 both use same bearings. as explined in your other thread.

ls crank in gsr block warrants gsr or ls main bearings. LS rods and rod bearings. also stated is that you will definately have a block deck height issue.

my advice, get a gsr crank

 

You're fine with that LS crank in the GS-R block. Have one of those now myself, no issues. no deck height issues. when you order pistons, base them on an LS/VTEC so you get the right range compression. Also remove the oil squirters (not needed with forged pistons). the crank should at least be slightly polished and for the journals, they are typically the stock oem. for the rods, use the ones specified. You would use LS crank, LS length rods, and whatever pistons you need.

Too much misinformation about that type of custom build. its a very common build. check out the All motor forum for better details.
