Default Air compressors?

In the market for a oil lubed 60 gallon air compressor for the house. I will be doing alot of painting and wrenching with it. I just dont know what brands are good.

There's husky, colbolt, craftsman, campbell hausfeld, ect ect

I just dont know what brand to go with. I'm looking for something that's going to last me.

Anyone have any recommendations?

Likes or dis-likes?

TIA

IR will last a lifetime! Screw that Sears/Home Depot/Lowes bullshit. Do it right and do it the first time.

this. IR makes some seriously hardcore stuff. just stay away from cheap IR, just like "SnapOn" that's sold at auto parts stores. lol. also stay away from Lowes/Sears/Home Depot brands. they'll work fine, but buying stuff of lesser quality is not something you want to do with a piece of machinery that's meant to last. buy hand tools from big box stores if you must, but as a rule make sure to buy quality stuff whenever you're looking to buy anything with moving parts.

talk to your local snap on or matco rep, he'll tell you which compressors the shops around you are running, and they can set you up with just about any brand in the industry.

after much debate, we decided to stay with Eaton when we needed to upgrade our booth compressor. ours is f***ing massive beyond comprehension, but a 60 gallon 5hp will work great for pretty much anything you'll need it for.

definitely IR. awesome compressors, our is huge and is really quiet. never run out of air or pressure with that thing. have 5 lines running off it at one time and it barely has to try and keep up. they make good stuff but its not cheap. a quality compressor is a must though.
