LSD tranny only spinning 1 wheel?
OBX LSD
When i get on the throttle, the drivers side wheel breaks lose, passenger side does nothing. I must have done a 100ft, 1 wheel burnout the other night.
When i let off the throttle, the steering wheel JERKS HARD to the left. When i first get on the throttle the steering wheel JERKS HARD to the right.
Steering is fine however. i can do a full u-turn, no poping or anything.
I have tried removing the axles, then re-installing them. checked for a good seal on the axles.
any ideas?

aquafina, i have been reading some posts about obx diff's and i am aware you are not a fan.
my question is, what could have happened here?
it doesnt make sense, an LSD only spinning one tire. how does half of the diff fail?
ITS WORSE THAN HAVING AN OPEN DIFF! the car cant hold ANY power. When im at a stoplight i try easing off the clutch, the damn tire spins like im doing a burnout on that tire.
Like, as soon as my turbo spools up, the drivers side breaks lose IMMEDIATELY.
im getting ready to get under the car again, take the axles out again and look around.

The OBX is cast with horrible clearances. The gears rounding off at the contact points is normal (hence they no longer are meshed together full time).
would the washers breaking prevent that side from loading? ive had issues with the noise and poping from the diff since ive had it. ive found the upgraded washers and bolt kit. im gonna get the diff out and see whats what.
upgrade kit 32$ for everything

another shop said the washers breaking would cause the diff to fail. i know you said the
washers are for noise suppression.
im so confused...
so your saying the diff is ****ed?
how would one side only be working. like its putting all power to one side.

I don't know how many transmissions TDC works on, but they are pretty much all I work on.
The diff will work without the washers if everything else in it is intact. Since it's not working, something inside is not intact. Either the gears are broken or they are rounded off at the contact points which as I said before is common with the OBX.
