how much is it to rebuild a turbo ?
i was wondering how much it would be to get my turbo rebuilt at a shop?
im thinking its bad cause it smoked on my b16 and white smoke is still coming out and i just put it on my ls and there is a little shaft play

it's not a "standard" cost for everything. It really depends upon
1) what's actually wrong with the turbocharger,
2) who rebuilds the turbocharger (self vs. standard rebuild shop, vs. specific shop (precision), and
3) HOW it is rebuilt.. (are you upgrading thrust bearing systems?, different shaft or any balancing done?)
Most competent rebuilders charge from $200-$350 for proper internals, but again, its a RANGE.

i dont want to upgrade anything just a regular rebuild replacing whats needed...im not sure whats wrong cause this is only my second turbo set up but it does have some shaft play and smokes white and can any shop rebuild it or what kind of shop should i look for?
also since i dont have money to tune yet...should i run it with the stock injectors and ecu ? or should i run it with my rc750 and my p28 tuned with a b16 turbo?
At this point, with white smoke, you may not want to "run" anything yet, and give your car a walk around (compression/leakdown tests come to mind), then send the turbo to a proper rebuild facility to have it inspected and possibly rebuilt. (there are several here). You won't know the full cost until the work is actually done, so the estimates that I stated above still hold true. Turnaround times may be a couple days to a week or more, so have other transportation ready in the meantime.
But for now, don't put any "tune" chips on it. keep it stock and make sure the engine and turbo are healthy first before worrying about power.
You've got some work to do before worrying about tuning. get those checked first.

well i did a leak down and compression they came out good compression was all 185 n 1 was 180 n leakdown the most leak was 14 percent
