Default del sol running funny - misfiring and overheating

hey guys i had purchased a del sol that had been sitting for a while and would need a jump to start and sounded like it ran on 2 or 3 cyl not wanting to pick up any speed at all. so i bought a new battery new plugs new wires and fuel filter and it started to run good. i let it sit for another month in the heat and when i went to start it it ran for two seconds and would not start back up so found out it was the fuel pump relay. got it re soldered and it was running like a champ on the way home until i got off the highway on my exit and noticed it was all the way up on the H on the temperature. put some water in it no more overheat problems but now its doing the 2-3 cylinder running problem mainly at low rpm. it runs kinda rough at idle then when i give it gas it struggles then around 2k it starts to sound normal and then switches back and fourth from rough to fine???

so 1could it be that i warped the head
2 could it be a tps sensor or iac?
3 i dont know?

Definitely compression test the cylinders.

Have you removed and checked the distributor cap, as well as the rotor?

Any CEL codes?

sounds like your timing is very off... no power+ over heating = bad timing pretty much . unless it has other obvious signs. blown head gasket .... or something

im more of a nissan guy and i keep seeing ppl talking about cell codes is that the little blinking light on the ecu? i havnt checked the rotor cap im thinking its head gasket since it started running crappy after it overheated. i drove it around all day yester day at low rpms it struggles and then around 2k or higher if i kept it around 1/4 throttle it would run ok and then anything after that it would break up
