On this honda accord block read "HA" where a friend told me to check...

Default On this honda accord block read "HA" where a friend told me to check...

...check for the engine ID. It was by the headers and next to the trans. It was HA protruding out. Whats it mean? The guy selling the accord seems to know very little and stated "It has a b18 head." So I then ask, "what kind of block?" and he says "IDK anything about motors." Does it mean Honda America or what?

B18 head on an F series block? If so I'd like to see how that works.

What make model year is the Accord?

If you look just below the HA you will see a flat spot on the block, it will have a stamp, not raised, with a 5 digit code (4 digit JDM) then a serial number below that. The 5 digit code is the engine code. It is the bottom highlighted area. You may have to clean the dirt out of the stamp for it to be legible.


F22B2

(HA stamp code, that means nothing as far as engine codes are concerned, could very well be Honda America???)

Damn it. he lives too far away to go back and look. And If I ask him to look at if for me he might hurt himself LOL. It seemed to run like *** so I'm not gonna buy it.
