I have just got a new project car and it seems to have a few problems. The car is a 91 si

hatch and it has a h22a4 motor and f22 trans in it when I got it. I have converted it to

obd1 and have a socketed ecu in it with a stock h22 map. It funs and drives fine but it is

really slow! Vtec works but it dies at 6.5-7k. I have a dc header, 2.5 inch exhaust, and a

sri with a flow stack. I have been in preludes with the same mods and they were much

much faster! I don't know what injectors it has in it and I don't really know how to find out

what they are. PLEASE HELP H-T!

 

Get the car tuned, that is the best way to make sure your map is for your motor...

 

I will be tuning it when I get the rest of the equiptment to tune. That is the first thing on my list once it comes in. I just don't know if I have the right injectors.

 

My buddy's H2B EG hatch he had was bogging as well until he replaced the TPS sensor. I forgot if he had a CEL or not when his **** was bogging.

 

make sure your cam timing is set right, mine was a tooth off on the intake and it made 129whp on the dyno. now that I reset it and put new cams in it its about 235whp

 

Well I was able to get a new map from a friend with a h22 with 240cc injectors and it feels alot better! The afr's are just a hair off so I guess this is a good place to start. I do need to check the cam and ignition timing tomorrow. I wonder if that accord trans is having that much effect on the way it makes power?

 

a tranny can make quite a difference in acceleration but it should still be pretty decent in first or second gear.
