Icon2 fitting a 94-97 engine in a 90-91

My question is, is it possible to use a 94-97 long block (not sure of engine codes of the F motors) and mate it with the 90-91 AT, for use in a 90-91 CB7?

OBDI / II issues, i know i would probably need to reuse my injectors and distributor from the old engine. but is there anything else?

are mounting locations for everything else just about in the same place?

any help is appreciated :D

my thoughts are there is so much **** wrong with this engine it might be better to just replace the old dirty bastard with a new one, from a newer model.

Yes, you can. All F and H trans are interchangeable. You will need to run the POA VTEC ECU, and Wire up VTEC and Pressure Switch. Now I'm not sure if the 90-91 Accords are OBDO or OBD1.

CB7Tuner.com should have the answers to your swap; since, they've done just about everything.

yes you can....the swap will need some mods as i have done it b4....you will need a custom exhaust manifold as you may find either year doesnt reach....you will need a 94-94 accord driver side mount....you will also need to modify the front mount as the mounting systems are different...other then that use the manifold from the engine coming out, loop the power steering lines that go into the back of the trans as unless you use the same trans it will not have them.....thats all i can think of off the top of my head....thats the f22b1 sohc vtec btw......why not go for the f22b2 dohc non vtec as its a much more "direct" type swap

bseriescrxsi. stick to b series.

you do not need a custom manifold. an exhaust shop can make the necessary adjustments to mate the exhaust manifold to the exhaust.

either driverside mount will work. No you do not need to modify the front mount. Use the 90-93 front mount and you will be fine.

there are power steering lines that run into the block? wtf?

The f22b2 is a SOHC motor.

into the trans...read idiot....they run into the VSS in the back.....maybe you should stick to something else as ive done this swap before

yes you will need to use the drivers side mount from a 94-97 unless you change out the mount piece on the block as they are different

and they will have to weld the manifold and downpipe to one piece or remove/bend the piping hence the custom part

tell me how the front mouints the same when the 94-97's use a small mount on the subframe and now the "dogbone" style mount

and i meant jdm f22b didnt mean to put the 2 there

Nothing wrong with the JDM F22B DOHC swap. Its a great motor.
