Well guys the clutch in my d16z6 is starting to slip. I'm guessing I don't have much life left in it. I'm looking online for a new clutch since I don't want to pay 300 for a ZOOM stage 1. I'm looking and ACT and exedy but I don't to drop a whole bunch on a clutch. I'm looking for like a stage 2 or 3, for daily driver and a little more punch and a little more launch. Any ideas what design to go for? Wha bran? Id Like to keep it under 350 if possible.

 

u should see if there is somewhere local that rebuilds clutches. they are really cheap to rebuild.

 

Like I said I want a heavier-duty clutch for launch purposes and things like that, but not something that will be done after a month.

 

Check the Marketplace...there are new and used ACT, Exedy etc.. in there.

i bought an ACT stage two clutch for about 400. it is definantly worth it. it has had no problems with me. a short shifter and jdm gearbox would be extra killer with it too.

 

Exedy stage 1, with matching lightweight flywheel! I swear by the combo.

 

Does the exedy stage one have more bite than oem or Is it pretty much manuf. Specs?

 

I got a F1 Racing Stage 3 six puck clutch on ebay for $150. it's alright

 

get any 6 puck sprung clutch, dont get the un-sprung clutch, it sucks for daily hahaha.

 

Why choose 6 puck over a solid disk?

 

Exedy stg 1 should be good for the d16 daily unless you want the on/off pedal ACT sprung 6 punk. Do some research there a thread about clutches peeps own and how it would drive and recommend.
