Default 93 Fog Light Delfector

Hi all,

Ive been running my HID equiped fog lights for about a year now, the bulb finally went out. Anyways, as I was in the process of replacing the bulb, I realized that behind the glass there is a deflector(block off thing, it covers half the glass from behind). I had forgotten there was one there, and I forget if it was "better" to leave it or remove it for HIDs. COrrect me if Im wrong but the fog light is a projector caseing/lens.

Better to run with or without? What will the result be? Will there just be more light under, or will it reduce my cutoff?

Before I was running H3 (yes they fit with millimeters to spare) 3000K, the light was hella yellow (yellow lens), and I could see the cutoff when parked near walls.

I went with 5000K in hopes to produce just as much yellow but for a longer distance.

*edit*Sorry this should of prolly gone in Lighting.

Thanks
Matt

Thanks. I have no doubt I'll have problems running with or without. But I want to know why the result of removing it.

I think removing the block off will remove cutoff. Because if I remove it all the light is gonna go thru the lens. And it might blind peoples.

Anyone confirm? Again I'm using HID so they don't even look like a normal h3.
