hi guys..i got a D16Z6 and its gearbox when puttin the third gear is not entering smooth when i m reving the engine..i think its the gear synchromesh. they told me its more worthed to buy another gearbox then fixing it..what do you think? and if i ll buy another one which gearbx should i buy..thanks

 

An EX tranny (can't remember tranny codename) Makes the first few gears a bit more exciting. And they should be very common.

It depends on exactly whats wrong and if you're paying for labour. If its just the snycro and sleeve that are bad its probably worth fixing, if the dog teeth on the gear are worn its probably cheaper to just pick up another tranny. D-series EX/Si tranny (which should be what you have now) is what you want.

 

i told my friend to do it ourselves but he told me that it got alot of work..so probaby i will not be working on it to fix it..this wk i m going to change the gear oil..should i do it more think? or i buy the original honda oil? thanks alot guys
