Default Thinking of buying an MDX, opinions

Hi everyone

I am thinking about buy an MDX, its a 2006 touring edition with navi. It has 97XXX miles on it.

I dont know much about the MDX's but we are looking for an SUV. Are there any common problems with these cars? Should I stay away due to the milage?

Any opinions (good and bad) will help...

Thanks HT.

I am going to look and drive it tomorrow. I test drove a Pilot over the weekend and loved it. If this car drives like that I might be getting it. If the price is right

The trans goes bad between 80k and 160k. Motor mounts will need to be replaced soon. I would steer clear of somthing with that kind of miles. I have an 03 pilot and just turned 102k, on the third trans. Never towed anything except 2 kids and a wife. Bad design imo.

I would buy it the transmission problems are more common on the early models . Just ask if the transmission fluid has been done before . On the 03 pilot that was the first year for the pilot it must be the way you drive to be able to go through 3 transmissions .
