Default arp head stud stripped block :(

started torquing the 1st bolt on the 1st step of my mini me head studs and it stripped it just spins and spins

its a d16a6 block with d16z6 head

any suggestions on how to fix or if i can go without the one bolt would be greatly appreciated

was gonna try jb weld and this other thing i cant remember what my dad was explaining starts with an h its a thread inside if a thread

you're thinking of helicoil. or a timesert would work also

thanks! gonna go to a local autoparts tomorrow and see if they have the helicoil i need the ones i got are to small for the studs
i really hope i can get this fixed soon the engine thats commin outta the car is ready to give so i need the mini me done asap

Just thought I would ask.... are you sure your torque wrench is reading correctly?

I have had an issue before where I was using a brand new torque wrench and snapped a rod bolt. Then the next stripped the nut. Then found out the wrench was about 60 ft lbs off!

every ****ing a6 I have ever got has had at least on head bolt stripped. it such a bummer but yeah helicoil should work.

it was off instead of 23 i was at 27 cuz i read the settings wrong but they used the same wrench on my bros cb7 and it didnt snap nothin and he was reusing oem headbolts

i hope today i can get it fixed its the last day of my vacation and my stage2 clutch and 7.7lb flywheel comes in
