looking to purchase a billet 6265 or 6765 v-band housing turbo, read that the housings are 2.5" for the d/p.. can anyone confirm if this is true..
Thats not true.
I have a 6265 V-band oulet unit... it is definately not a true 3" vband size by the industry standard definition. If you buy a standard 3" V-band clamp it will be too big.
Not 100% sure on the 6765 V-band outlet unit since its been a few since I messed with one on a friends car, but I am pretty sure they are done the same way as the 6265 V-band outlet sizing.

Correct you have to use the Precision Flange/Clamp as it is not a true 3". Whoever you get the turbo from should be able to supply the right parts. If you need anything let me know we are a dealer.

I bought a manifold and d/p from SLS, and its a v-band ram horn and 3" v-band d/p and was going to purchase either the 6265 or 6765.. Do u think I would run into any problems with the 3" of the d/p and the housing for the turbo..
If the turbine inlet is v-band then the turbine outlet uses a 3" v-band. If the turbine inlet is a std T3 then the turbine outlet uses a 2.5" v-band or 4 bolt.
