I have a 93 prelude vtec...heres my problem. I noticed a couple days ago that my speedometer isnt working, like it would reach say 40mph and then it would climb back down to 0. It happened like 5 times already and my engine check light also comes up, but i havent had to time to check it out yet. Whats going on here...can somebody help me out?

 

could be the vehicle speed sensor, pull the code and post what it is. we'll take it from there...

Ummm don't you need equipment to pull codes. Equipment that dealerships have.

 

Probably a speed sensor or its wiring. If you want, you can come to our dealership and i'll let you borrow our specialized paperclip to pull codes. You probably have a code 17.
