98 Accord F20b ecu question !!
hey guys my mechanic is dropping an F20b into my 1998 Accord 5spd lx sedan. We have the swap complete but the guy is trying to run the car on my stock ecu which is making it bog down and run like shi% .. I was wondering if i get the ecu for the F20b is it just a matter of dropping the ecu in and it will work right? Also.. Will an automatic F20b ecu work fine with no CEL? I need to get some info please asap as far as what i will need to do as far as the ecu conversion. Theyr'e both OBII.. please someone help i have no car for school and im having to take the bus everyday.
good question, i know usually people just stick the p28 chipped thats what i got. but i do not think the auto ecu will work pretty sure you should get the manual version ecu..
well we decided on going OBDI and doing an ecu with a re-map. Now its just a matter of doing the obd1 conversion with the wiring and getting everything worked out. Any idea how long this should take converting the car to obd1? hes working on it for hours every day. Thanks man.
no but he needs to re-wire the dizzy and all this other stuff. I dont mind getting hte conversion harness AT ALL..but isnt that just a jumper? The rest of the things such as teh dizzy nd TB is off an H22A1 so yeahh.. any help in the right direction would be huge. Links from a F23A1 to OBD1 harness to run my f20b harness plug and play!? that sounds amazing! someone please link me more info on this route.
