The best solution would be to have the car dyno tuned using a chipped ecu.
The next best solution would be to run a chipped ecu on a basemap.

You can get custom tuned STS72SF512 EPROM chips for anywhere from $15-$30. No June, Mugen or Skunk copied BS.

It would be tuned specifically for your engine.

Anyone with tuning knowledge, and a chip burner can get you a base map. For $30+ you would hope to be getting a dyno proven map.

I've chipped a few ECUs and I have also downloaded some of those name brand, so called Performance, maps.... not much too them really.

Well a chip and tune is much better than just a blind base map chip and $130 for a chip and tune is ritardedly cheap.

$130 for a chip and tune, dose that include him actually meeting up with you to tune your car on a dyno or the street? Or is he just saying that it is a tuned map?

$130 is a cheap rate for all of that. Hopefully they know what they are doing. Hopefully they aren't just some fly by night street tuner with a laptop, Crome Free and some blank chips.

If you are considering going to that shop. Ask for some references and stop by to see some work that they have done.

As mentioned above...

Find your self a local tuner that isn't someone with no reputation etc.
Go to ectune.com hrtuning.com and hondata.com to find a local tuner.
