d15b7/d16z6 mini me part ideas?
okay, so I'm building a mini we with the above block and head mentioned. I'm trying to keep it streetable.
But I'm really looking for aftermarket parts too it, I don't wanna just build a majority Honda part motor.
So I'm asking everyone to help me find especially rods and pistons.
And after that I need suggestions for cams, cam gears, valves, valve springs and retainers, intake manifold, bearings, fuel rail, injectors, head gasket, etc.
Idc how expensive the parts are, if I have to save up to have quality I will.

lol... There is nothing wrong with the 1.5 . Actually I like it better for N/A because the engine winds up quicker. Doing a vtec head on it IMO is a waste though. I have seen way too many people have terminal issues with them.

Do a Multi port swap if not done already , Decent camshaft , Maybe a little head work, Quality header & Exhaust , and be done.

I really wanna make it as aftermarket as possible, there's a local club with their noses in the air about almost stock Honda's and I wanna show them just epic they can be made. But I wanna use this engine, cuz its hardly ever used.
Actually, ARIAS makes a d15 specific piston line for them. You can also use your stock rods. Just get ARP rod bolts and you will be fine. Stock d15 rods on an N/A setup have been known to get to 200whp before failure. I dont think you will have an issue.

Okay, so I've changed my mind about the z6 head, I'm just gonna build this motor.
i know that its extra money and such to get it where I want it but oh well, this is how I wanna do it.
But anyways, I'm trying to make sure every part of it is aftermarket, or at least as much as possible.
So I'm wondering if anyone can point me inthe direction of a decent set of aftermarket bearings, valve retainers and springs, a dsitrubitor(sp?), a 130 amp alternator, and fuel injectors.
and also a head gasket.
Now i know more than half of that doesn't need to be replaced but i want to anyway with a aftermarket part even if it doesn't give any benefit over stock, just to say I did.
So even if the injectors are only the same as stock with a pretty name on them then I still want them. Its more of having a motor that I say I completely built than anything else, plus this car is gonna be a semi show car so i want the motor to be pretty.
