Default NTK Lambda sensor for F22A7/8 same as F22A6 ?

Hi everyone, need some help here.

My car's Oxygen sensor is gone. I've read codes 43 and 1 on the self-diagnosis, it all indicates that it's really out.

I'm looking at this one on eBay in the UK, which is closer to me than the US :

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...fvi%3D1&_rdc=1

On the listing, you can see it refers to F22A7 and F22A8 engines.

Mine's a 1992 F22A6 Accord EX 2.2.

I've spoken to the guy, he doesn't have a chart so he can confirm it fits my car, so I need some help there. Logically, the part should work but I wanted to be 100% sure before I order the part from him.

Also, is the Honda-original manufacturer part from NTK or Denso ? Which one should I find installed in my car when I remove it ?

Finally, just to confirm, how do you guys feel about so-called universal Oxygen sensors ? Worth the try or crap ?

Thanks for your help, I really need it !

The sensor itself will be the same. It's whether or not the wires will be long enough. That NTK part number states that the wire connection is 350mm long (13.75") Is that long enough to replace your current O2 sensor?

As for the universal O2 sensor. As long as you use ether a Denso or NTK you'll be OK. The universal O2 sensor, when hooked up properly, will work the same as the vehicle specific replacement sensor.

GhostAccord, my saviour as usual
Thank you so much.

That being, as I imagined I can buy without much risk.
If that would be the case then all I eventually would have to worry is about streching the connectors, right ?

Thank you so much, you truelly made my day today.

No problem

If you can find an NTK OZA502-E28 it has a 410mm wire connector and it is the same 4 wire, type 43 connector as the 350mm one you linked too.

That's the one!

The ECU for that vehicle reads the same O2 voltage output as your F22A*

They are both a 0-1v analog output signal. With 0.57v being stoichometric (14.7:1 AFR)

Ok, good.

Would OZA660-EE18 be the original reference for my F22A6 ?

edit : What's this about NTK being wide-band and Bosh being narrow-band ?

Yes that would be the closest to your F22A6, that is the one listed in your original link. The ones I listed had longer wires. I mentioned them just to make sure that you wouldn't run into any problems having to lengthen the wires if they did come up short.

????? Both NTK & Bosch make wideband sensors. None of the NTK O2 part numbers mentioned in this thread are wide-band.
