Hey guys i got a blown motor in my 99 sh and i found a base motor for a pretty good deal, was wondering about how its going to work out. i know if should be a direct fit and bolt up, but im questioning the axles? i know my originals were hooked up through the atts.
Now with the atts being gone will i be able to use the base axles or will i need custom? need quick response if you can help thanks

you can still use the atts if the transmission is good, if it is all you will need to do is relocate the oil filter and your orignal transmission will bolt right up to it and you can keep the SH part of it.

that sounds pretty good as my tranny and axles are still good in shape. so is there a kit somewhere that allows you to relocate the oilfilter. i know when i originally had the car running i hated the spot for the oil filter
SH transmission will mount to a base block.
ATTS unit won't. Not only do the mounting holes not match, the atts unit sits flush against the block so even an oil filter relocating adapter would stick out too much.

Yes. You'll also need a Base trans since the SH has a coaxial output diff.
